sophie feldman music
hi i'm sophie! i'm a singer songwriter and music teacher based in los angeles, california, with over 14 years of experience working with students of all ages.
here's a little more information about me:

the sparknotes bio
I was born in nyc, raised in seattle, and moved to LA to attend the USC Thornton School of Music as a Popular Music Performance Major with a songwriting emphasis. I was also a Psychology Minor with an emphasis in development! As of 2026, I am enrolled in a master's program in clinical psychology at Pepperdine University, pursuing my Marriage and Family Therapy License and music therapy board certification.
Today I work in music education and childcare AND write and produce music for my artist project, Jackson Sage, as well as for other artists, and sync projects. Lately, I've also been producing and directing music videos for myself and some other incredible artists :)

musical background
I took my first guitar lesson at 6 and added ukulele and piano to my arsenal in 5th grade. I've been writing songs for as long as I can remember, and started performing original music in middle school.

teaching background
I am the eldest of three and discovered my love of working with kids as soon as my siblings (who I am still obsessed with) were born.
I started teaching guitar lessons when I was only 13 years old, and by the time I graduated high school, I'd worked with over 20 students (ages 5+) on guitar, songwriting, piano, and ukulele.
As a student at USC, I joined the Thornton Community Engagement Program, where I worked as a music teacher at local preschools and elementary schools and continued to hone my teaching style in larger classroom settings.
I am currently the music specialist and head songleader at Temple Isaiah, as well as a teacher through the Rose Coast Music studio, and I freelance teach my own roster of students on Zoom.
